Liverpool’s soccer stars were last night (wed) greeted with signs branding them „d***heads” in a row over their Europa Cup showdown in Romania.
Furious fans jeered at the players ahead of tonight’s match against Unirea Urziceni over a series of cock-ups on Liverpool’s website.
Kop fans were told the match was happening in Budapest – the Hungarian capital – instead of Bucharest and even managed to misspell the name of their opponents.
So last night (weds) fans besieged the club’s hotel waving banners declaring the team ‘Liver-pul’, a Romanian slang word for ‘d***head.’
„They have insulted our country and our team and we are just paying them back,” said one fan.
