Fulham are being linked with a move for Romanian striker Florin Costea as a possible replacement for the injured Bobby Zamora.

The People are reporting the Cottagers are prepared to pay £1.5m for the Universitatea Craiova player who was the leading scorer in his country’s top league last season.

However, it’s understood his club are prepared to sell and that has alerted Roy Hodgson.

The Fulham boss is already close to agreeing a loan deal for 20-year-old Roma forward Stefano Okaka, but he still wants an experienced goalscorer as well.

Hodgson will be without Zamora until March after he dislocated his collarbone while fellow strikers Diomansy Kamara and Andy Johnson are also troubled by injury problems.
