On February 8 at 9:00 a.m. Romania issues an orange code for traveling in the counties of Giurgiu, Valcea, Calarasi, Teleorman, Dolj, Olt. The snow cover in these regions is forecast to reach 30-40cm, Bulgarian Foreign Ministry announced, citing Romanian weather forecasters and Romanian traffic police.

Vehicles heavier than 3,5 tons are banned from traveling. It will snow heavily also in the regions of Banat, Oltenia, Muntenia, Dobrogea and Southern Moldavia.

Vehicles heavier than 3 tons are banned from traveling on the roads in Southern Romania and on Giurgiu-Bucharest road. The measure will remain in force until 6:00 a.m. on February 8, Monday.

The ministry recommends that Bulgarian citizens avoid non-essential travel.
