Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is confident his side can ‘go all the way’ and lift the Europa League title.
David Ngog’s goal spared Liverpool’s blushes as they secured a 1-0 victory over Romanian minnows Unirea Urziceni at Anfield on Thursday night.
However, Gerrard believes Liverpool will progress through to the next round and is confident the Anfield outfit can pick up some silverware in the shape of the Europa League this season.
„We are confident we can go all the way,” Gerrard told the Daily Star. „We believe we will win more convincingly against them away from home.”
Liverpool travel to Romania on Thursday February 25 for the second leg of their Europa League tie.
