The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry is warning against non-essential travel to Romania in the wake of severe weather conditions.
Snow cover in the counties of Giurgiu, Valcea, Calarasi, Teleorman, Dolj and Olt is expected to reached 30-40cm, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry announced, citing Romanian weather forecasters and Romanian traffic police.
Vehicles heavier than three tons are banned from travelling on roads in southern Romania and on the Giurgiu-Bucharest road.
The measure will remain in force until 6am on February 8.
