A London-bound plane was this morning forced to return to a Romanian airport after a bomb scare.
Passengers were evacuated from the Wizz Air plane after it did a U-turn back to the Romanian city of Timisoara after take off.
The airport received an anonymous phone call 15 minutes after the 6.20am take off.
Officials at the airport said all 165 passengers on the flight had been safely evacuated.
On Luton airport’s website today, flight W6703 from Timisoara, which was scheduled to land at 7.20am, was listed as delayed until 1.15pm.
Wizz Air is a Hungarian airline which offers low-cost services across Europe.
It operates between Timisoara and London Luton in Bedfordshire three days a week.
